I couldn't agree more. I was going through treatment for clinical depression
(the ultimate long-playing cd) when that came out and found a wonderful
mesmerizing, sweeping peace in that song. Also, Blue Poles had the same
effect one Peace-n-Noise, but that could be the appeal to my Appalachian
upbringing too (as in the phrases, "we joined the long
caravan...hungry...going west...just for work....just to get a job", etc.).
Also, did Blue Poles bring the Joad family (Grapes of Wrath) to mind for
others?
