Subject: It's official, Nader now a Republican strategist-read down

I'm not surprised; I've known all along that Nader is more Republican than
Democrat, more right-wing than left-wing. Nader has a very specific but very
narrow agenda concerning business and trade, and that has been his only concern
for some 40-odd years. I would love to know what happened to him psychologicall
y
in his youth that causes him to wear a business suit, the uniform of his suppos
ed
enemy, *all* the time! (A little reminiscent, I think, of "The Night Porter".<g

I don't recall ever seeing a picture of him in jeans.

Initially, I thought the mediawhore link was going to refer to what the NYTimes
reported this past Sunday (in the Business section) about Nader.

Hopefully this link from the Times will work:

It's about a right-wing conservative texile mogul/billionaire named Roger Milli
ken
(he supported Pat Buchanan's Presidential bid in 2000), who has asked for and
gotten Ralph's advice and counsel, along with Senators Strom Thurmond and Jesse
Helms:

..."He is a die-hard traditionalist. His critics even call him an isolationist
-
defiantly fighting the tide of trade history and picking as his main battlegrou
nd
the trade deals that have gutted much of the textile industry in the Carolinas
and
sent hundreds of thousands of jobs overseas. In the process, he has found himse
lf
with an unusual mix of bedfellows, from Senator Strom Thurmond and Pat Buchanan
 to
Ralph Nader and a prominent labor leader."
