i know the woman you mean. she is a politician but i cant
remember her office.  part of arafat's problem is that his
english is so poor.  he should always use a translator when
speaking to the american press.   this is just another factor
in the palestinian's disasterous public relations effort.

The problem isn't just ARafat's English.  He sometimes makes
one statement in English, for a Western audience, and then
makes another statement the same day in Arabic, saying something
completely different.  It's not just a language problem, it's a
truthfulness problem.  He's trying to say one thing to a Western
audience and another thing to an Arab audience, and thinks he
can get away with it by speaking 2 languages.
