This isn't unprecedented for advance promos. I doubt
we'll see this particular method used at retail, 
although, if we were, it's no surprise that it would 
be on a release targeted at an older demographic 
which is less likely to be tech-immersed, and more likely
to have the kind of dedicated audio systems this kind of
disc works in. 

The "should not be played" language is interesting. 
Sounds like indemnification to me.
