I think CBGB's has passed into history, it was what it was....its not what 
it was.....its an icon, its a designer handbag...bands play there,...the 
toilets are still shitty....I'd like to see a plaque somewhere over some 
newer club that is still less commercial than most...Bowery Ballroom??? or 
some plaque inside, or a street sign outside in honor of CBGB's like Joey 
got....CB's got behind in the rent....possession is 9/10's of the law but 
not when the landlord comes calling, the late fees and surcharges in dispute 
are beside the point, NYU and the big cohones will do what they want...if 
Hilly had kept up on the rent he might have more sympathy....It was a great 
wonderful place in the 70's, we've got our videos and our memories......Now 
we need a landmark preservation sign that here stood CBGB's.....and move 
on....jackthecat.
