Yeah, I ran for that shelter quite a few times!!
My croaker's name was Dr LaValle--I think he got busted finally, but I called
him 'Dr LaValium' lol
He'd sit there nodding while we spoke of curing 'the Russian Problem' (this
was in the early 80s during the Cold War) by dropping wax-coated valium in the
snow to calm them down over there!

When I asked for a diagnosis after 6 mos, he said 'What--you want a
diagnosis?!!!! OK, mania.'

  Actually Roche was the maker of Valium. Dr Leo Sterneberg-the man who
invented valium just passed away on September 30.  As sad day for mothers and
who loved their little helpers
