Guess I have a couple of gaps now in my 'seen every show since 78' byline.

I bet it was great!

Here's a funny story about Peter Buck.
My ex ran into him and started talking to him. Pete was drunk off his ass.
About 1/2 hour into the conversation Pete goes 'Do I know you??' Stan says
'No, but it took you long enough!' They laughed. Then Stan ran into him again
downtown stepping out of his limo and asked him for a buck.
He pulled out his fat wallet and peeled a dollar off.
"I got a buck from Buck!" my ex proclaimed happily as he danced off into the
sunset.

See? We have fun in Seattle! ;-)
Too bad I missed the Patti show though....wow.
I've had so much going on I (dare I say it?) didn't even realise it was that
night. GRRR!!!

PS We also saw PB with Jim (I just can't call him Roger, y'know?) McGuinn at
the Ballard Firehouse about 8 yrs ago. Awesome show and afterwards waiting at
the backstage entrance he got JMcG's autograph for us (said he was real
reclusive with fans) but we lost it. Encounters with Pete Buck.
And so it goes.

  Patti's show at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe was great! Opening with Patti &
  Lenny unplugged, it wasn't long before the Minus 5 (featuring Peter Buck &
  Scott McCaughey) joined the duo for a set that ran close to 90 minutes. Also
  part of the festivities was Patti's daughter on keyboards! Opening with an
  acoustic version of 'Redondo Beach', the set also featured a few 'folk
  songs' including a rousing sing-a-long of Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone'.
  Patti took a short break during the set which allowed Lenny and the band to
  cut loose on The Seeds' 'Pushin' Too Hard' - hey, kids, 'It's a nugget if
  you dug it'! Other treats included 'Free Money', 'Land', 'Gloria', 'Rock N
  Roll Nigger', 'Ask The Angels', 'Frederick', 'Dancing Barefoot', 'People
  Have The Power', 'Grateful', 'One Voice', 'My Blakean Year'...and, no, this
  is not the setlist, but what I could remember afterwards. If this is what SF
  & LA have to look forward to, find yourself a ticket!
