Heck, they mighta done "Gloria" steadily in the 60's too. It's a good song to
kick the speakers in ;) I wonder if Liberace did it too? (Hey, he played
LOTS of weird stuff)
And who knew that Dino Valenti had so many nom de stages? :)
BTW, the lyrics from the parent note of this thread sure ain't like no "Hey,
Joe" I can think of.
"Well I found her foolin' 'round with another man,
And I SHOT her!"
PS: In case anyone's interested, the DVD of Love's "Forever Changes" concert
is G-R-E-A-T T T T T , GREAT TTTT (in the spirit of Gloria, heh)

Subject: Question about Gloria version?
In the list posted yesterday about the versions of " Gloria " I saw The
Kinks mentioned. Being a huge Kinks fan and considering myself extremely
knowledgeable on just about anything they ever recorded and released I have
never seen or heard of a recording of " Gloria " by them? I have also
witnessed approximately 300 live KinKs shows going back to 1969 and although I
know they did a lot of old rock & roll covers during their encores I don't
seem to ever recall them doing " Gloria " live either, although it is possible
they did because they have been known to pull out some one off covers every
now and then during their early 70's shows where anything could (and usually
did) happen?
