PATTI SMITH
The legendary poet/rocker comes to Beyond Baroque (Venice) for a
reading from Complete, the retrospective edition of her poems and
lyrics dating back to the 1970s and the era of punk. Known best for
numerous groundbreaking rock/poetry albums, (the recently re-issued
Horses , along with Radio Ethiopia, Gung Ho , and many more), Smith
began publishing poetry chapbooks with the famed Gotham Book Mart in
NYC. She is author of the poetry books Witt, Babel, Wool Gathering ,
and The Coral Sea . She is in town with her band for a music
fundraiser for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. All tickets $15.
