and then given to the city of Woodbury for soccer fields.

The former Hoedown Hall once featured square dancing. Later, it was
frequented by local rocker Patti Smith, who went on to record the hits
"Gloria" and "Because the Night."

In 2001, the county bought the land from Smith for $320,000. [snip]
