patti didn't stick around after her 40-minute opening set . . . i kinda figured she wouldn't because she was in her home town . . . but chris kicked down heavy props to her during the crowes set, something like it being an honor to share the stage with her . . . there were tapers for the crowes . . . i hope they caught patti too . . .

after the concert, our friend steve gorman, drummer for the crowes, offered marti & me red sox tix at fenway ANY TIME WE NEED THEM . . . seems some folks in the upper echelons of the sox management are black crowes fans & they take real good care of the crowes &
their friends!

call it the icing on my world series cake . . .

Wow--what a beautiful theatre! Thankyou for the pix-I certainly enjoyed
them. A great place to see Patti. And the Crowes! So you know the
drummer--exciting! I love Chris Robinson--he's so cute (w/o the
beard..ahem..!) and the band did so much to bring back 'strut' to RnR, IMHO.
Nobody since The Faces has sounded like that. They always did remind me of
Jeff Beck/Rod Stewart/Faces stuff.
I love em! What a great billing~I hope Patti does stick around. Keep us
posted!
