AW: Patti Smith 1976 NYE Weed and some meandering as well

I offer copies of this weed to the first 2 askers - preferably in Europe. I
swore I had enough concerts and would refrain from getting more and making
more copies, but just this one more time... 

And I must say, I was listening to some of the past New Years etc. concerts
last week, and they are wonderful. In fact, now I forget which year (2000 or
2001), but Patti sings at one point: "one of these days I'm gonna do it". I
heard her repeat that a few times and then I decided: NOW is one of these
days. So this year, for the first time in 22 years, I am going to fly over
from Austria and spend Christmas day with my mother in New York City. And
since I happen to be in the neighbourhood, I am finally going to attend all
3 concerts. That is something I have wished for since...?? And of course Mom
gets to go to with me. And it means I don't have to get up at 4 am this New
Year's Day to listen to the Sirius live broadcast! ;-)

Actually, I had 2 magic moments that day. I was purposely listening to the
CDs because I was knitting a prayer shawl for a friend over there recovering
from breast cancer, and I'd decided that Patti live was the perfect musical
energy (and humor) with which to infuse the shawl - while praying/thinking
about my friend during the whole process. (For more info if you need to knit
one for someone you love, google "prayer shawl".) It was kind of spooky/neat
- as I was just sewing up the last few stray ends, "Gone Pie" was on. And
she sings: "May you live a long life." Perfect timing! Exactly my wish. So I
quickly folded up the shawl with that energy and wrapped it up with that
wish still resonating through the wool, and took it to the post office.
